Job Overview


Are you a skilled Warehouse Foreman with a background in the removals sector, seeking a new opportunity within a company that boasts nearly 150 years of expertise in logistics and removals?

As we continue to expand, we are in search of a Warehouse Foreman who will enhance and refine our warehouse operating systems by assessing handling and storage needs; establishing, enforcing, and reviewing policies and procedures; and creating processes for receiving goods, equipment maintenance, inventory oversight, and organization. You will also play a key role in upholding health and safety standards within the warehouse to guarantee a secure working environment for all staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain an organized warehouse, ensuring cleanliness and safety

· Operate forklifts and conduct daily inspections for any defects

· Oversee the warehouse management system

· Compile daily defect reports and communicate findings to the Operations Manager

· Distribute PPE/Uniforms and keep accurate records

· Conduct daily equipment inspections

· Ensure timely vehicle servicing in accordance with schedules

· Champion and lead Health and Safety initiatives in the warehouse and surrounding areas

· Assist with site cleanliness and organization

· Manage incoming deliveries

· Serve as a driver porter as needed by the business

Weekly and Monthly Duties

· Perform stock takes of packing materials

· Update the equipment service planner

· Supervise the scheduling of plant and equipment inspections

· Track the return of vehicle and equipment service documentation

· Conduct weekly workplace inspections

· Approve corrective actions on defect reports

· Identify hazards and address issues

· Conduct packing comparison checks

· Complete AED inspections

· Manage waste disposal on site

· Ensure tyre inspections are performed regularly

Qualifications

· Proven experience as a warehouse operative or foreman

· Essential Fork Lift Truck license (Counterbalance & Reach truck)

· In-depth knowledge of warehouse management practices

· Demonstrated ability to implement process enhancements

· Strong organizational capabilities

· Leadership qualities and experience managing teams

· Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication abilities

· Qualification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus

· Valid driving license is required

· Experience with containerized storage is preferred
