Job Overview


Are you a skilled Warehouse Foreman with a background in the removals sector? Join a company with a rich history of nearly 150 years in logistics and removals.

As a Warehouse Foreman, you will enhance and refine warehouse operations by assessing handling and storage needs, enforcing and evaluating policies and procedures, and developing systems for receiving goods, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and organization. You will also oversee health and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain an organized and safe warehouse environment

· Operate forklifts and conduct daily inspections for safety compliance

· Manage the warehouse management system effectively

· Compile daily defect reports and communicate findings to the Operations Manager

· Distribute PPE and uniforms while keeping accurate records

· Conduct daily equipment inspections

· Ensure timely servicing of vehicles according to schedule

· Champion health and safety practices within the warehouse and surrounding areas

· Assist with site cleanliness and organization

· Handle incoming deliveries efficiently

· Serve as a driver porter when necessary

Weekly and Monthly Duties

· Conduct stock takes of packing materials

· Update the equipment service planner regularly

· Oversee the scheduling of plant and equipment inspections

· Monitor the return of vehicle and equipment service documentation

· Perform weekly workplace safety inspections

· Approve corrective actions on defect reports

· Identify and rectify hazards

· Conduct packing comparison assessments

· Perform AED checks

· Manage waste disposal on site

· Ensure completion of tyre inspections

Qualifications

· Proven experience as a warehouse operative or foreman

· Essential Fork Lift Truck license (Counterbalance & Reach truck)

· In-depth knowledge of warehouse management practices

· Demonstrated ability to implement process enhancements

· Strong organizational capabilities

· Leadership qualities with staff management experience

· Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities

· Outstanding communication skills

· Qualification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus

· Valid driving license is required

· Experience with containerized storage is preferred
