About the Role

Securitas are recruiting Security Officers who are willing and able to undergo and achieve DV clearance with us.

Once you have achieved your security clearance you will be representing Securitas as well as one of our most prestigious global clients where your professionalism, skills and expertise will shine through.

This fantastic opportunity provides you with training and assists in your personal development and growth in the Security Industry, as well as offering great benefits.

You will be working 4 days per week between Monday-Friday. For this role you will need to have a full UK driving license with access to a vehicle because some travel will be required across sites, covering the M4 corridor. 

Due to the nature of clearance required for this role, you must hold British Nationality and have lived in the UK for the last 10 years.

Job Opportunity

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct external and internal security patrols and carry out routine tests of security equipment.
  • Maintain all logbooks and records, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conduct effective handover procedures.
  • Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices to management.
  • Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring the safeguarding of the premises.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Display an outstanding level of customer service.
  • Display the highest standard of personal presentation to maintain the image of Securitas and the customer.
  • Undertake any other duties as requested by Management.

Essential Skills

Essential criteria:

  • Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
  • Must hold British Nationality and have lived in the UK for the last 10 years (due to the nature of clearance)
  • Valid, current SIA license.
  • Willing and able to undergo and achieve DV clearance.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • Punctual, reliable and IT literate as well as able to work independently and part of a team.
  • Have a proactive attitude and be able to prioritise workload.
  • Be willing and able to work shifts covering days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
  • Flexible and willing to travel between sites covering the M4 corridor.
