What You'll Do:

As part of the EMEA sales organization and reporting to the EMEA Senior Sales Manager Performance Coatings you will be responsible for primarily implementing the growth strategy for our Performance Coatings Additives portfolio, at UK and selected EMEA KEY-ACCOUNTS by directing and planning the sales activities.

The position will be preferably  home office based  in UK, with an ability to attend our Lubrizol European additives sites on a regular basis: Bremen in Germany, and Manchester in UK.

 Your major activities and principal responsibilities:

Understand, develop, and sell on LUBRIZOL Coating Value Proposition. Lead the sales and market development activities to promote growth of the business for assigned EMEA key accounts; initiate commercial and technical discussion to confirm customers’ needs and propose value selling solutions. Develop and implement Key Account business plans, obtain approval, and execute. Identify current competitors’ strengths and weaknesses and LUBRIZOL Coating competitive advantage. Identify and evaluate market opportunities to be able to enter new and growing applications, identify and support the launch of new products. Understand where the customers are in the overall selling process and what steps are necessary to accelerate the process. Develop deep knowledge of market and applications of Performance Coatings products. Build strong networks with internal teams; Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and others as needed to achieve company objectives. Work with the facility operations and sales team to provide class-leading product supply. Accelerate a mindset change from product sales to solution provider.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree (BA or BS in Marketing, Business, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering), MBA is a plus. Global and Key Account Management experience: previous consolidated experience and ability in managing complex regional/international accounts. Minimum 5 years of experience in the coating additives industry (Surface Modifiers and Hyper-dispersants technologies will be a plus), in similar sales functions in an international environment, Strong track record of delivering higher than market growth. Operate at a senior level with sales organizations. Demonstrated successes in achieving sales growth with additives, in implementing new products, solution, technology and value selling programs. People management skills. Value selling. Results oriented, strategic thinking and strong commercial mindset. Excellent communication skill required allied with self-motivation and a “can do” attitude. Ability to connect with internal and external customers at all organizational levels and diverse cultural backgrounds. Relationship building with key decision makers.  Mother Tongue/Fluent in English (written and verbal), additional languages like German, French or Italian will be an asset. At ease with digital tools, familiar with MS Office applications to a high level. Good Financial Acumen in a business environment. Willingness to travel (50% +)
