Main duties of the job

Routine work will include:

Assessment and management of in-patients. Assessment and management of acute admissions. Attend ward rounds as timetabled. Attend multi-disciplinary ward meetings. Attend out-patients (where appropriate) and assist with in-patient management. Assessment of patients in the Emergency Department. Fulfil the duties of the weekly timetable including out of hours responsibilities. Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of clinical services. To share with colleagues responsibility for the day-to-day management of the patients within RCHT. To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME). To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and Audit. To attend meetings as appropriate. Sustainability is integral to the Trust achieving the NHS Net Zero target. All staff are therefore actively encouraged and supported to implement new ways of working within their field of expertise.
