ASC Teaching Assistants

If you have personal/ professional experience supporting children/ adults with additional needs particularly ASC, then we have just the role for you This is a mixed primary/ secondary ASC/ SEMH school based in the PR4 area of Preston. The roles will be full-time to start in September.

Requirements of the roles

  • Hold a full UK driving licence (preference to have been driving for 3+ years)
  • No specific TA qualifications required but are desirable if you do
  • Care/ support worker background is desirable due to personal care being a requirement of the role
  • Have a DBS on the update service or be able to apply for a DBS

The school

This is a highly specialist ASC school, who cater for pupils aged 6-19 years, with ASC additional needs as well as range of complex developmental disabilities. Some of the pupils live in one of the school’s registered children’s homes. All pupils will have an EHC Plan often experienced difficulties within mainstream and local authority special schools, or other specialist provisions, before coming to their school. Some pupils at the school may require personal care so it is a requirement of the staff there to be happy to do this if required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
