At the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) we have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and motivated individual to join our Quality Improvement and Clinical Excellence Team.
The post will provide specialist advice and guidance for clinical areas in the delivery of the NNUH Clinical Professionals, Midwives, and Nurses Strategy. Assist in building the Trust's Quality Improvement (QI) capacity and capability, by supporting the NNUH's vision of achieving continuous quality improvement. Play an integral role in the delivery of our local accreditation programme 'Accreditation of Excellence,' bringing together key standards of nursing and clinical care into one overarching, evidence-based framework.

Main duties of the job
o Support and facilitate ward and departmental teams in ensuring that the highest standards of clinical care are continuously measured and improved.
o Plan, lead, and implement quality improvement programmes to improve the quality of care, patient safety, and experience.
o Contribute to the development of QI management capability and building of sustainable, continuous quality improvement approaches within the Trust.
o Be an advocate for Nursing, Midwifery and Clinical Professional Excellence and Quality improvement; empowering clinicians to adopt the QI methodology for implementing new ideas.

Job responsibilities
Support and facilitate ward and departmental teams through liaising and networking with Trust colleagues ensuring that the highest standards of clinical care are continuously measured and improved Facilitation of innovative and evidence based clinical practice through professional leadership and supporting clinical teams Plan, lead and implement quality improvement programmes to improve the quality of care, patient safety and experience, demonstrating patient and public involvement in the process Facilitation and co-ordination of a range of Corporate, Local Commissioning and National Initiatives associated with the quality agenda Implement local monitoring systems/tools to ensure Ward/ Department compliance with statutory and national standards, and participate fully in regulatory assessment and scrutiny processes Lead on specific cross-divisional improvement initiatives and assist the nominated service lead in developing tools to measure improvement. Facilitation of relevant patient harm reduction programmes across the Trust, according to individually agreed portfolio, including training and learning from root cause analysis Be pro-active in seeking patient views, ensuring that feedback from patients is valued and acted upon and lessons disseminated to enable changes in practice if they are necessary Actively lead and participate in all relevant meetings, promoting quality, safety and the Care Excellence Framework across the multi-disciplinary teamPlease refer to the Job Description for the full specification of responsibilities and requirements for this post.
