What you'll bring to the team

You will be a part of the team which plays a pivotal role in ensuring guests safety and enjoyment for millions of guests on Thorpe Park. We promote a proactive and diverse culture delivering great customer service to all our guests whilst ensuring the safety of our guests, staff, and assets at the Resort

This Role will encompass numerous aspects of Site Security. Depending on business needs, there may be times where you may be requested to support our wider day operation.

You will maintain excellent Site Security standards ensuring all personnel and vehicles are signed in correctly, proactive patrols are carried out and logged, and that the park and its perimeter are kept safe and secure. The Security team at Thorpe Park also work closely with the local authorities to carry out various operation whilst keeping everyone’s safety at the forefront of our business.

The Night operation focus includes Control room duties as well as patrolling and securing the wider site. You may also man our Gatehouse, being the first point of contact for site visitors such as contractors or staff.

Shift timings will primarily include overnight hours, but may include early mornings, days and evenings depending on your assigned shifts and business needs.

In this role you will:

  • Act as first point of contact for contractors, visitors and staff who require site access.
  • Able to carry out security screening on people and vehicles on entrance and exit from site maintaining a high level of vigilance.
  • Can remain calm in situations of conflict or violence.
  • Must be vigilant, ensuring that access is only granted to those with authorisation or prior appointments which can be confirmed.
  • Carry out checks such as fire alarm checks, building lockdown checks and asset transfers. 
  • Enforce the Site access policy for all vehicles entering the Park by way of deliveries, contractors or emergency services.
  • Operate within all legislative requirements in set by the Security Industry Authority and enforce the company’s policies procedures, terms and conditions.   To utilise provided communications systems (radios, phones, email) to ensure communication within the team, and the wider Resort, is always clear and effective.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must be 18 and over
  • Confident and approachable
  • Reliable
  • Highly driven and motivated
  • Focused and able to complete tasks with high level of ownership.
  • Innovative and fast moving
  • High level of personal presentation and standards
  • Experienced in Site Security and/or Security Personnel 
  • Previous Night Experience.
  • Must have an SIA Door Supervisor Licence.

Pay Range

Compensation between GBP £12.34/Hr.-GBP £12.34/Hr.
