Rethink are looking for an experienced and passionate Mental Health Support Worker to work as part of our inspiring Team at Keward House and Burcott Road.

The Open Mental Health initiative is a Somerset alliance of local voluntary organisations including Second Step, Rethink Mental Illness, Mind in Somerset and the NHS. We are working in partnership to ensure that residents of Somerset get the support they need, when they need it. 

How you will make a difference

As a Mental Health Support Worker you will work across both locations and will offer people affected by mental illness the support and help they need to regain their confidence and get involved in everyday social and workplace activities. You will be working closely with service users to achieve their own personal goals and access all the support they need on their recovery journey. 

Essential skills and experience required:

  • I have transferable life/work experience to apply to this role.
  • I am a good listener, empathetic, understanding, kind, patient and willing to learn
  • I can demonstrate behaviours consistent with the values of the Charity.
