At Mental Health Matters, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Mental Health Support Worker to join our Crisis Recovery Service team. With a competitive salary of £22,880 - £23,920 per annum pro rata, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals struggling with mental health needs.

As a Peer Support Worker, you will work alongside our experienced team to provide practical and emotional support, empowering clients to build self-confidence, a sense of personal wellbeing, and connect with their communities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with clients in a face-to-face, virtual, and telephone-based manner to offer responsive support
  • Supporting clients to access statutory services and psychological interventions
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of community resources and partner organisations to promote social inclusion
  • Giving clients a sense of hope and wellbeing, and supporting them to gain control over their lives
  • Helping clients engage with and build connections to their local communities
  • Living the values of Peer Support as described in the PSW Competency Framework 2020
