Apprenticeships are designed to give talented people an opportunity to gain a nationally recognized qualification while completing on the job training. You will be supported to learn and develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to perform in the job role. You will also have study time allocated within your working hours to gain your qualification.

For this role you will undertake a 22-month development programme as an ImprovementPractitioner within eRostering, through work-based learning and by attending regular training sessions. Successfully completing the training programme and qualification will lead to an Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3.

This position is offered on a fixed term contract with the opportunity to become permanent once the qualification is successfully completed and achieved.

Apprenticeships do require candidates to be resident in the UK for at least 3 years at the start of their apprenticeship.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for providing a high-quality administration support to departments; designing and building electronic rosters as well as delivering formal and ad-hoc training on the system. The role will involve supporting implementation of eRostering, namely coordination of roster building and implementation with clinical and non-clinical teams. The post holder will act as the initial point of contact and support for end-users within the Trust and will be responsible for undertaking various administrative duties to support the divisions by providing advice, collating information and producing reports.

Job responsibilities

To support Trust staff in the use of the eRostering system, providing expert advice, guidance and solutions to enhance the use of the software. To ensure that the system is fully and accurately maintained so that it meets the needs of the Trust, and provides efficient, cost effective and safe rosters in line with Trust policies. To support ongoing improvements in the eRostering service. To provide admin support for the training managements operations and the implementation in general. Person Specification

Education and qualifications

Essential

Educated to GCSE or equivalent Level 2 Literacy and Level 2 Numeracy Significant previous eRostering experience.

Desirable

Microsoft Office IT qualification Educated to degree level or equivalent

Essential

Experience of rostering systems or processes in NHS or similar environment. Significant experience in working in a complex administrative environment. Experience in using databases and the ability to extract and understand the information. Experience in providing a technical support service to users. Experience of creating and managing staff rosters

Desirable

Experience of maintaining the background of Allocate Software Healthroster system, personnel and establishment management, Payroll, reference data, user account management. Also additional modules BankStaff, Roster Perform Experience in identifying and taking opportunities to make improvements to a service.
