We are currently seeking to recruit a business administrator apprentice to work on our prestigious London housing contract in Canning Town, London. We provide responsive day to day repairs, property refurbishment, and electrical and gas servicing for our customers living in over 2,000 homes across the borough. Join Rydon Maintenance as an Apprentice and you will be joining a well-established property maintenance business.

Rydon provides a range of expert maintenance services to domestic property and commercial buildings in the social housing, health and social care sectors. We look after over 35,000 homes for registered providers and several hundred buildings across 20 NHS Trusts throughout the country. We ensure properties are well maintained, efficient and fit for purpose, using the latest technology to ensure repairs are completed promptly.

Job Purpose:
We are currently seeking to recruit a business administrator apprentice to work on our prestigious London housing contract in Canning Town, London. We provide responsive day to day repairs, property refurbishment, and electrical and gas servicing for our customers living in over 2,000 homes across the borough. Join Rydon Maintenance as an Apprentice and you will be joining a well-established property maintenance business.

**So how does the apprenticeship scheme work?**

As an Apprentice business administrator you will be provided with ongoing training and development to upskill within the field of administration. The role of administrator is key to the business in ensuring that we maintain up to date records of works being undertaken.. You will be assigned a mentor, who will work with you to develop your on the job experience. At the same time, you will study part time (usually on a day release to college basis) and your mentor will support you in your college/further education through providing advice practical tips to help you succeed in attaining an industry recognised qualification and a long term career at Rydon.

**Key activities with which you will be involved on a daily basis include**:

- Working within the team to learn about Rydon's approach to property maintenance, shadowing/assisting staff members from time to time to build up knowledge
- Managing and updating daily job progress reports to ensure that planned works are undertaken to schedule;
- Maintaining resident communications to ensure they are well informed about the works we will undertake and progress as they move forward;
- Produce weekly, monthly and ad hoc management reports to keep teams across Rydon well informed as to current/future progress;
- Maintaining our repair system databases.
- Act as point of contact for our maintenance operatives, subcontractors, supervisors and residents in order to ensure a seamless maintenance service is given;
- Document Control to ensure that all standard forms and documentation is up to date;

At the end of the Apprenticeship, you will gain a Level 3 accreditation as a Business Administrator.

Experience Required:
To be considered for these exciting opportunities you will need to have a minimum of GCSE (grade C/Level 4 or above) in Maths and English.

In addition you will have an outgoing personality, good attention to detail and be looking for an opportunity to develop/grow with a dynamic property maintenance business.
