REPORTS TO: Development Manager
WORKING HOURS: 9.00am - 5.30pm
LOCATION: London
PART 2 - MAIN PURPOSEThis person is responsible for assisting in the implementation of a global LNG ETRM system as well as developing out the LNG system to meet the requirements of the PetroChina group. They will work closely with business analysts and users, coordinate with the project development team, setting and managing project delivery expectations. The candidate will have a strong background in .Net programming, DevOps, and SCRUM methodology. Knowledge of LNG trading and ETRM implementation or any other relative trading solution experience is beneficial.
PART 3 - JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop bespoke software solutions using .Net C#, SQL Server, and associated technologies.
- Guide the Development team and ensure coding standards are met by all developers.
- Breaking down technical specifications into its simplest elements and translating this logic into code.
- Ensure the solution is in line with approved architecture.
- Distribute development work and day-to-day management of developers.
- Develop bespoke software solutions using .Net C#, SQL Server, and associated technologies centered around our ETRM trading platforms.
- Chase down point detail issues on requirements, broker decisions, and achieve consensus.
- Support the creation of test strategies/cases and execute these.
- Support decision-making around the phased delivery of the solution.
- Assist with change management activities including benefits realization planning, training, and communications.
- Assist with estimating the level of effort involved in future phases.
- Work autonomously and within a team to deliver technology-enabled business change.
- Evaluate and improve system performance.
- Adapt the program to new requirements, as necessary.
- Support user acceptance testing to ensure the program works to specification and can be used easily, quickly, and accurately.
- Write detailed documentation for the operation of the program by users and computer operators.
- Hand over solutions to application support.
- Update, repair, modify, and develop existing software and generic applications.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS: Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field preferred.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES:
- .Net Framework and .Net C#
- SQL Server
- Experience in agile development methodologies
- Experience with Containerization, Kubernetes is beneficial
- Worked autonomously and in medium to large teams
- Understanding of small organizations
- Understanding of energy and commodity trading especially LNG is beneficial.
- Ideally (but not mandatory) expertise with Planlogic EoS.
- Any Exposure to shipping management, key Trading, Risk, and product control processes is beneficial.
- Experience of articulating the design to development components is essential.
- They should be able to quickly adapt to and manage the changing priorities of the business and be able to manage business expectations.
