**Your future position**

Connecting the dots across fragmented information landscapes, we bring our clients - mostly commodities producers, oil and gas companies, trading houses, public utilities and shipping companies, financial institutions and hedge funds - a unique, real-time understanding of supply and demand in the commodity markets.

Kpler is expanding its news coverage and we are looking for a bright and curious individual with a flair for writing and an analytical mind to join our LNG news team.

**Your mission is to**:

- Gather market information, extract and analyse data from Kpler, as well as third-party sources for news and analytical stories on the gas and LNG market
- Assess leads and pitch engaging story ideas
- Maintain existing or build new databases
- Develop new and nurture existing relationships with a wide range of industry contacts for market intelligence and future stories
- Produce regular engaging enterprise news and analytical stories on the Atlantic basin gas and LNG markets
- Report on developments in the European LNG and pipeline gas markets, as well as demand, supply and flows.
- Develop relationships, while nurturing existing ones, with a wide range of industry participants for gather market intelligence for scoops and future stories
- Keep up to date on market/industry developments
- Attend and cover industry conferences (some travel may be required)

**It will be a match if you are or have**:

- 2+ years of prior experience within the LNG space, with knowledge of LNG freight & pipeline markets including pricing
- BA in Journalism, English, Business or Economics
- Excellent writing skills
- Inquisitive, analytical and numerate
- Able to produce clean, factual and accurate copy to tight deadlines
- Self-motivated and able to pursue news leads and develop sources
- Articulate, confident and personable, with excellent communication skills
- The ability to think on your feet, identify news stories and produce them quickly
- Good time-management skills
