Position Overview

The LNG Business Analyst plays a crucial role in the execution of a global LNG ETRM system and the enhancement of the LNG framework to fulfill the requirements of Commoditas. This individual will be tasked with analyzing, filtering, and coordinating user requests alongside the broader project team, while effectively managing user expectations. A solid background in LNG trading and ETRM implementations is essential for success in this role.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze business requirements while modeling relevant business processes.
  • Articulate solutions at a functional level, including key assumptions and dependencies.
  • Outline the business processes that the solution is expected to encompass and assess the impact of the changes to be implemented.
  • Address detailed issues regarding requirements, facilitate decision-making, and achieve consensus.
  • Assist in the development of testing strategies and execute test cases.
  • Support technical teams in designing solutions to ensure comprehensive coverage of business processes and requirements.
  • Contribute to decision-making regarding the phased delivery of the solution.
  • Engage in change management activities, including planning for benefits realization, training, and communication.
  • Help estimate the level of effort required for future phases.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to drive technology-enabled business transformation.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Extensive expertise in LNG Trading.
  • Familiarity with Planlogic EoS is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in shipping management.
  • Knowledge of key Trading, Risk, and product control processes.
  • Strong understanding of data flows within an energy trading environment.
  • Comprehension of trading and financial terminology.
  • Proven experience in specifying and drafting functional specifications and business requirements for development teams is crucial.

Skills and Competencies
  • The candidate should possess an understanding of core LNG trading processes, particularly in risk and product control, while thriving in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to swiftly adapt to changing business priorities and manage expectations effectively.
  • Experience collaborating with a diverse range of key business stakeholders (front, middle, back office) to gather requirements (both functional and non-functional), facilitate workshops, and document outcomes.
