Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Trading Analyst to join our Shell Trading team in the United Kingdom. As a Quantitative Trading Analyst, you will be responsible for developing pricing models for LNG trading and implementing derivatives pricing models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement pricing models for LNG trading, including forward curves and volatility dynamics.
  • Collaborate with IT and other support groups to ensure seamless integration of models and systems.
  • Enhance commercial activities within the LNG trading portfolio by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand market opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments, and adapt models and strategies accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in quantitative roles within LNG or Gas and Power markets.
  • Strong understanding of financial risks from structured products.
  • Excellent programming skills in Python or similar languages.
  • Ability to quickly understand market opportunities and develop effective strategies.
  • Good stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with quantitative library infrastructure and machine learning techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and outside the box.
