Job overview

A fantastic opportunity has arose within the women’s and children’s division for an Assistant General Manager for maternity leading on CNST. You will be working with a fantastic clinical team supporting a unit with delivery of around 8,000 births per year across ESNEFT.

The successful candidate will have a strong operational background, to help develop the maternity services, as well as lead the CNST delivery for the trust. The role will have a strong focus of service expansion, maintaining a safe service for our families and supporting strong governance processes.

The role will cover community sites as well as the main hubs across ESNEFT.

Day to day operational support is key as well as long term service planning for the service.

For the right candidate we will consider developmental role.

This is fixed term/secondment post until 31/07/2025

Main duties of the job

§The Operational Manager has responsibility for managing all aspects of operational delivery within the relevant clinical specialties of East Suffolk & North East Essex Foundation Trust to agreed quality standards and within the resource and income base available, to support the Trust’s development as a clinically led organisation.

§The Operational Managerwill lead on the development, implementation, establishment and review of performance management systems within the relevant clinical specialties – it is critical that this is done collaboratively with other clinical specialties within the Division and across the other Divisions.
