We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant (PA) to join our Belfast Restructure & Insolvency team. As a PA in A&L Goodbody, you will provide essential administrative support to Partners/Fee Earners working in the Restructure & Insolvency department, contributing to the successful delivery of our services to clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in complex and high-profile matters, working with an international client base.
Your responsibilities as a PA in the Restructure & Insolvency department will include:
- Providing efficient and high-quality administrative support to Fee Earners, including preparation of documents, reports, and presentations;
- Onboarding all new clients whilst adhering to the Firms compliance procedures;
- Extensive diary management, using Microsoft Outlook;
- Booking conferences, travel and accommodation using travel management software;
- Supporting Fee Earners with invoicing to include preparation and issuing of invoices, and following up outstanding invoices;
- Updating document management system and providing accurate and timely assistance with soft & hard copy filing;
- Assisting with ISO, H&S, Fire Warden tasks & duties;
- Assisting with other ad-hoc administrative and project requirements;
- Proactive support across all other departments on a needs basis.

Essential
- Experience of working as a Personal Assistant, preferably in a legal or professional services environment;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy;
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion;
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Desirable
- Experience using digital dictation software such as BigHand;
- Experience of using time recording and invoicing systems such as Expert.
- Experience of matter inception and working with document management systems such as Intapp Open or iManage.
- Ability to create professional presentations in line with brand guidelines.
- Knowledge of workplace Health & Safety and Fire Evacuation procedures.
