Behaviour Support Assistant

A mainstream primary school based in Blackpool, South Shore are looking for full-time behaviour support teaching assistants to make a difference to their school. Supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health additional needs, you will be required to follow an EHC plan to support their learning and development.

To be successful, experience supporting children/ young adults with additional needs is essential. Ideally this would be in an educational setting however the school will accept individuals who have experience in support work, care work etc. All we ask if you have a passion for helping individuals and are keen to learn.

Key Duties:

  • Participate in the planning and evaluation of learning activities.
  • Provide meaningful feedback on pupil attainment and progress.
  • Support the teacher in monitoring, assessing, recording and reporting pupils’ progress according to the school’s policies in order to monitor and foster pupils’ progress in all areas of learning.
  • Promote pupils’ cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development and spiritual well-being through a whole Day Curriculum.

Key Information:

  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday (8:30-3:30pm) start date ASAP or 4th September 2024.
  • Term-time only role.
  • PAYE contract.
  • Blackpool (FY1).
  • Competitive hourly rate of pay of £12.90+ per hour depending on experience and additional duties.
