Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at a Secondary School in Blackpool. As a Behaviour Support Worker, your primary responsibility will be to assist teachers and staff in addressing the needs of students who require additional support to overcome learning barriers and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers and staff in addressing the needs of students who require additional support
  • Help students access the curriculum effectively, aiming to reduce instances of internal and external exclusion
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with challenging behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and other professionals to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and training in behaviour support or a related field
  • Experience working with students with challenging behaviour
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
