Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to pupils with challenging behaviour in a specialist secondary school. Your main duties will include:

  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all pupils in your presence
  • Providing a clean, safe, and well-cared-for school environment
  • Promoting the cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical development of pupils
  • Supporting the teacher in monitoring, assessing, recording, and reporting pupil progress
  • Handling and de-escalating challenging behaviour
Key Information

The school is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people. The Behaviour Support Assistant will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and provide references.

The Behaviour Support Assistant will work on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday, with a competitive hourly rate of pay. The role is term-time only, with a start date as soon as possible.

This may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
