The Safeguarding Team are looking to recruit a new Business Support Officer to support the team in carrying out our administrative duties.

The role will be based in the main Safeguarding Team office at Burnley General Hospital.
The hours will be 9.00-14.00 over 4 days Monday-Friday.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role will be to answer the duty telephone calls and take messages for the Safeguarding Practitioners.
To input data onto our Share Point database and Safeguarding Team dashboard.
To manage the administrative duties of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards process.
To support the team in room bookings, preparation of resources for training and inputting of training registers.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will be based within the Trust Safeguarding Team. The role will provide administrative support to the Safeguarding Team. This will include answering the duty phone and taking messages, inputting data onto SharePoint and the Safeguarding Team dashboard, inputting training registers and other general administrative duties. The role will be supported by the Business Support Manager within the team.
- To support the Safeguarding Team in answering the duty calls and taking messages for the duty Safeguarding Practitioner.
- GCSE in English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above or equivalent
- ECDL
- Good computer skills and good understanding of Microsoft packages
- Good all-round knowledge of administrative role and duties
- Excellent telephone manner including good listening skills
- Experience of prioritising own workload
- Experience of using Trust software systems
- Knowledge and previous experience of working withing the NHS/health/social care admin role
- Good working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisational skills
- Good timekeeping skills
- Minute taking
