The successful candidate will provide oversight, tracking and reporting of the UK Sales development project portfolio, leading evaluation reviews, and sharing best practice. Pro-actively identify opportunities to grow the UK Retail sales business through rigorous planning, evaluation and co-ordination of planning and project activity.

What impact you can create at Chanel:

This role is key to assist the Head of Sales Development in building the sell out (Retail) commercial plan across UK distribution. Manage UK Sales development projects and provide insight and information to continuously develop the retail sales and service offer, positioning of CHANEL F&B within the UK Domestic Market, both in Wholesale & Concession.

Create Region (and City) sell out plans to deliver the sales targets (for delivery by Retail Stores Operations and Events & Activation): by axis by region, working collaboratively with Head of Sales, Events and Activation Manager and Head of National Accounts to ensure trade activity is in place to support the business. Orchestrate and drive makeup and skincare initiatives to realise CHANEL’s potential in the marketplace and where we underperform the market. Partner with Events & Activation team and Head of Retail to help roll out London initiatives nationally (S.O.M). Makeup and skincare represent a huge opportunity, derive a targeted sell out strategy to enhance our market impact in makeup and skincare. Understand client behaviour with CRM and insights team to build and strategise new retailer discoveries by axis. Establish and implement strategies to drive brand loyalty and increase Makeup & Skincare sales from specialist experience standpoint. Partner with wider Sales team, leading a project to understand our retail model through a retail segmentation and door typology to drive forward a purposeful mission for each store location to contribute to our overall retail strategy. Create action-oriented insights report on market/competitor experience with recommendations on enhancing CHANEL’s experience delivery. Support Head of Sales development and Event & Activations Manager to identify and evaluate commercial viability of existing and new service offerings, enhancing client service techniques, improving client engagement and relationship. With the support of Sales development coordinator, create retail animation packs to drive enhanced performance in high potential product ranges. Partner and support Head of Retail to understand impact of clienteling strategy adoption and support any ‘Sales team’ initiatives that sit outside of the CRM responsibility. In learning with Events and Activation Manager, create small event postmortems to understand impact and improvements for future events. Collaborate with Events and Activation Manager to support new eventing initiatives. Support the Head of Sales Development with the delivery of cross departmental projects. Support the Head of National Accounts with the implementation of a Retail Partner relationship management system where plans, interactions and agreements can be stored to enable those working with the retailer) to better understand everything they need to manage and execute effectively. Establish a PMO to manage the portfolio of projects providing oversight (for decision making and learning). Contribute with project management responsibilities on any clienteling projects that are not carried out by CRM team who have ultimate responsibility for clienteling. Insight reporting of all project activity, identifying risks, interdependencies and decisions for Leadership Team. Introduce a standardised method and tools for evaluating the ROI and success of all activity and projects Provide recommendations to the Leadership Team to manage issues, decisions and escalations. Project manage new Boutique openings & Boutique refurbishments / updates for SAB’s

What you will bring to the role:

Extensive experience in project management in a fast-paced wholesale/retail luxury or FMCG environment Acute Commercial acumen demonstrated in similar roles. Understand ROI for activity planning and evaluation purposes. Highly analytical, using data and analytics to feed business strategies. Ability to summarize large amounts of information and provide insights to relevant stakeholders. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with other departments and senior management. Problem Solving skills.
