The role:

Systems Support Analyst

This newly created technical role position within Cargo Revenue Accounting (“CRA”) will provide maximum exposure to all the stakeholders that CRA encounter…. & more.

The purpose of the role is: -

Provide SME technical support to Revenue Accounting users across IAG Cargo Support changes to the Revenue Accounting systems & ensure they are fully scoped to deliver appropriate levels of operability. Supporting any changes to the Revenue Accounting systems & the subsequent testing. To monitor operational performance of several Revenue Accounting systems as designated by Systems Development Executive. To ensure Systems Audit compliance

What you’ll do:

Principal Accountabilities

Supporting IAGC management to promote, consult, influence and communicate actively on specialist elements relating to the Revenue Accounting systems. Support the delivery of appropriate solutions through proactive cross-functional working with the business and IM teams. Monitor operational metrics including the receipt of feeds, the production of outputs, the completeness/correctness of data and the associated accounting and take ownership of any corrective action required.

What you’ll bring to IAG Cargo:

Good interpersonal skills – able to communicate effectively with stakeholders. Able proactively and constructively to challenge assumptions and approaches. Flexible approach to a changing environment and a self-teaching attitude. Highly numerate with strong analytical skills. Good communicator (both written and verbal). Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Your experience:

Experience (preferred)

Knowledge of system testing principles & procedures. Can create and manage own test plans with given objectives and understands the stages and types of testing. Creating or manipulating data for testing purpose. Dealing with other third-party suppliers. Supporting users and systems in outsourced/offshore locations. Managing small projects. Dealing with IT providers including an understanding of the process for raising change requests and faults.

Expertise (desirable)

Knowledge of Revenue Accounting Cargo process in terms of systems (RAPID, DML, BA80, MIS, & Misc. Access Databases), data, ., BA80 feed) & processes (Import, Export, CASS, Courier Billing, AWB Stock Control, Mail Revenue). Knowledge of the links between BA80 & the RAPID feed. Good knowledge of AWB standards. Good knowledge of the Cargo Revenue Accounting Systems and the links between them and other Finance & Cargo systems. Knowledge of Mail Revenue contracts. Knowledge of clearing house procedures and settlement. Knowledge of Oracle and the ability to write complex SQL queries. Knowledge of the associated accounting entries. Good understanding of IT Internal Controls.
