We are offering the exciting opportunity to join our Trustas the Patient Flow Clinical Manager. We are looking for a motivated individualwho will support and lead our already established Clinical Site Team, andprovide support to the wider Trust. You will be a Registered Nurse withsignificant management experience and a thorough knowledge of flow management alongsidethe ability to support discharge processes and the reduction of length of stayin our hospital whilst focussing on best patient care quality.
The post holder will work Monday-Friday based onsite at The Rotherham NHSFoundation Trust with the requirement to undertake Senior Manager on call duties.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for providing seniorprofessional, operational and strategic clinical leadership to the ClinicalSite Management Team, leading and developing the team. The Patient FlowClinical Manager will support the long length of stay reduction processes andwork closely with the Care Group teams to minimise delays for patients in theorganisation. The post holder will proactively support patient flow from the point of patientadmission through to discharge, liaising with relevant clinical teams and CareGroups as necessary to minimise delays and problem solve flow issues. This rolewill operate as 'Silver on site' during the day and will work closely withSilver on Call colleagues in line with escalation levels. The post holder willdevelop excellent working relationships with clinical teams across the Trustand community settings. The post holder will have recent management experience in the NHS withresponsibility for operational matters including, staff management, budgetaryresponsibility, performance targets, discharge arrangements.
