We are pleased to present a rewarding opportunity for a part-time Assistant Manager in the Pediatric Outpatient Department at our healthcare facility. This role will involve sharing responsibilities with the current Assistant Manager. The Assistant Manager will serve as a model of excellence, showcasing high standards of care while providing clinical guidance and leadership to the team members. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will assist the Pediatric Matron in overseeing, directing, and enhancing the service.
Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager will be accountable for evaluating patients' care requirements and supervising junior staff, organizing nurse-led clinics, and supporting the Pediatric Matron to ensure the clinic operates efficiently. This includes facilitating a seamless patient experience, prioritizing patient safety, addressing any concerns, and coordinating with external agencies and other departments.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential Knowledge
- Proven clinical competence.
- Understanding of professional obligations.
- Ability to prioritize clinical matters effectively.
- Familiarity with primary care principles.
- Knowledge of the Code of Professional Conduct.
- Awareness of current legislation concerning pediatric care.
- Capacity to make evidence-based decisions and apply them in a clinical team setting.
- Understanding of resource management and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatric Care.
- Mentoring qualification (or willingness to pursue).
Relevant Experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in pediatric nursing post-qualification.
- Experience working in a clinical environment.
- Demonstrated ability to enhance patient experiences.
- Evidence of safeguarding experience.
- Experience mentoring nursing students.
