Product Portfolio Strategy Senior Manager

Forseven, a revolutionary company looking to transform the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, is seeking an exceptional Product Portfolio Strategy Senior Manager to join our highly skilled and dynamic Product Strategy team. This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices in Leamington or Bicester, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Product Strategy team and play a pivotal role in shaping our future products. Collaborate across functions with Engineering, Attributes, Finance, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to strike the perfect balance between customer needs, brand identity, and business objectives. You’ll be pivotal to defining exciting and compelling products that will set us apart in the market and ensure long-lasting value for our customers.
What you'll do
Product Definition:
- Prepare early stage programme gateways and key cross functional meetings.
- Define and select programme content to meet customer, financial, attribute and technical requirements.
- Lead cross functional alignment activities including co-ordination of Engineering, Attributes, Quality Finance, Marketing and Manufacturing teams.
- Develop the product definition from the ground up.
- Define and position product attributes with clear customer requirements.
- Organise, prepare and participate in product evaluation events.
- Work with the Head of Consumer Research in defining the Target Customer(s).
Portfolio Planning:
- Develop new vehicle concepts and programme rationales.
- Provide recommendation of life cycle activities and support the management of the product portfolio plan.
- Support other activities including Cycle Plan development, studies into new opportunities & technologies and development of cross-carline implementation strategies.
Insights & Data Analysis:
- Monitor market trends and innovative technologies with your team.
- Evaluate market research findings with the Market Intelligence Senior Manager.
- Analyse data collated from market trends to inform proposals of product changes.
Growth:
- The candidate will have the opportunity to grow their team over time, starting with the appointment of analysts within the Product Portfolio team.
- The candidate will be fundamental in the definition of upstream process and in setting the business up for success in this space.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a results-driven individual demonstrating tenacity, drive and perseverance as well as the ability to deliver in a complex, highly demanding environment. As a self-starter, you will work with a high level of attention to detail and be able to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build beneficial business relationships will also be required.
- An exceptional interest in and breadth of knowledge of the automotive industry (brand, products, customer needs); with an awareness of market dynamics and understanding positioning; with a customer first mind-set.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills with ability to overcome obstacles and resistance
- Qualification (degree or higher) ideally in a STEM subject.
- Previous Product Strategy experience in the automotive sector
- Comfortable working in a developing organisation and influencing key personnel who are not direct reports; you should thrive on change and be committed to transforming and growing our business
- High level technical understanding of electrified vehicle
- Experience of leading a small team.
