Previous experience of working within a Mental Healthcare setting Experience of working in teams under appropriate supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the team and organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development

Skills and Knowledge

Essential criteria

Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal, and nonverbal communication) with patients, relatives/ carers and the multidisciplinary team. Ability to support, supervise, assess and act as a role model to nursing associate students, other learners and health care support workers as required within the clinical setting. Have a clear understanding of the physical health needs of our client group, the need for robust intervention and the impact their lifestyles can have on this, along with the poor outcomes A robust understanding of the function of mental health rehabilitation
