This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to progress their career to join Stone King’s highly respected HR Team. The individual will work collaboratively to support the HR Team and wider business, providing essential support to our Sectors and Teams in the Firm as well as across the wider generalist HR team. The varied nature of this role means that as well as providing key administrative support, you will also have a business facing role requiring you to liaise and build key relationships across the firm.

The HR Team consists of 11 members and the successful candidate will report into the Head of HR. Throughout the apprenticeship, the successful candidate’s development will be supported by a qualification relevant to their knowledge and competencies.

Key responsibilities

General duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Working alongside the Reward and Benefits Adviser and HR Adviser acting as a first point of contact for HR queries in all offices via various mediums such as HR mailbox, telephone and face to face. Escalating as appropriate where required.
  • Responsible for generating correspondence relating to contract changes, end of probation, probation extensions, sickness absence, family leave, capability, leaver references, disciplinary and grievance matters, performance management and flexible working letters.
  • Accurate and timely Maintenance of employee files and HR filing system, file archiving.
  • Assisting with the general employee life cycle administration, including new joiner and leaver related administration.
  • Manage the sickness recording process end to end, tracking and highlighting key trigger points to the HR Adviser and Reward and Benefit Advisor as needed.
  • Provide note taking support at performance management and employee relations meetings as and when required.
  • Assisting with the annual salary review process and related correspondence as required.
  • Assist with the starter process and coordinate the leaver process for SK people, including checklists and the preparation of paperwork.
  • Ensuring SharePoint and HRIS are up to date any employee changes such as personal details, roles, responsibilities and location.
  • Update and circulation of People Movements spreadsheet, All at SK report and weekly Feel Good Friday digital newsletter, also supporting Weekly Movements SharePoint post.
  • Updating and running standard reports from the HRIS, such as absence and Head of Team reports and data manipulation as required.
  • Assist the Reward and Benefits adviser with benefits administration such as private medical insurance.
  • HR point of contact ensuring timely payment of invoices, liaising with Finance to resolve queries.
  • Assist HR team with HR projects, as discussed and agreed on ad hoc basis.
  • General administration as required by the HR team, including diary management and scheduling.

Requirements

Essential

  • A keen interest in HR
  • Keyboard skills/IT literate including Office 2010, Excel, HR System.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Be able to work accurately, with good attention to detail.
  • Will have needed to be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a professional services environment is desirable.
  • Administration experience or experience in an administrative role.
