Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual eager to advance their career by joining the esteemed HR Team at Stone King. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the HR Team and the broader organization, providing vital assistance to various sectors and teams within the firm, as well as contributing to the generalist HR team.

The HR Team comprises 11 members, and the apprentice will report directly to the Head of HR. Throughout the apprenticeship, the candidate's growth will be supported by a qualification aligned with their knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities

Core duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for HR inquiries across all offices through various channels, including email, phone, and in-person interactions, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Generating correspondence related to contract modifications, probation assessments, absence management, family leave, and performance management.
  • Maintaining employee files and the HR filing system accurately and promptly.
  • Assisting with the administration of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Managing the sickness recording process, tracking key indicators, and notifying the HR Adviser as needed.
  • Providing note-taking support during performance management and employee relations meetings.
  • Assisting with the annual salary review process and related communications.
  • Coordinating the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, including preparation of necessary documentation.
  • Ensuring HRIS and SharePoint are updated with employee changes such as personal details and job roles.
  • Updating and distributing the People Movements spreadsheet and weekly newsletters.
  • Generating standard reports from the HRIS, including absence and team reports.
  • Supporting the Reward and Benefits Adviser with benefits administration.
  • Ensuring timely payment of invoices and liaising with Finance to resolve any queries.
  • Assisting the HR team with various projects as needed.
  • Performing general administrative tasks as required by the HR team.

Requirements

Essential

  • A strong interest in Human Resources.
  • Proficient in IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Minimum education of GCSE level or equivalent.

Desirable

  • Experience in a professional services environment.
  • Previous administrative experience.
