Morson Technical Services is currently on the lookout for an Aircraft Wildcat Base Maintenance Supervisor to oversee operations at our facility.
About the Role
The Wildcat Base Maintenance team is responsible for conducting comprehensive 300-hour zonal maintenance on a fleet of 62 Army and Navy Wildcat Helicopters. Our teams operate on a structured 17-week program, meticulously stripping, cleaning, inspecting, and rectifying aircraft to ensure they are ready for frontline deployment. Our skilled engineers follow a day shift routine, focusing on fault diagnosis and component replacement as necessary, along with ground running the aircraft before they are dispatched.
Working within a MAOS Part 145 framework, our organization prioritizes professionalism and diligence, with a strong emphasis on airworthiness and health and safety.

Main Responsibilities
- Hold necessary authorizations as per WMS, including second signature within your trade group as specified in OP 1103 and in accordance with your individual Record of Engineering Authorisations (REA).
- Maintain technical proficiency and authorizations through ongoing training and review of disseminated information.
- Perform aircraft maintenance tasks as assigned by Controllers, adhering to published Procedures and Instructions.
- Complete GOLDesp procedures in accordance with Wildcat Maintenance Support WMS OP 408 and JAP(D) 100A series publications.
- Follow authorized tool control procedures when executing maintenance work on aircraft and associated bay tasks.
- Supervise Technicians and Apprentices.
- Manage operation and maintenance of AGE and Hangar facilities as directed.
- Prepare aircraft for road or air transport as necessary.
- Participate in exercise detachments and aircraft recovery operations as required.
- Conduct independent inspections where authorized, in accordance with MAM-P and individual REA.
- Perform any other aircraft or support-related tasks as directed by the appropriate Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of an aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent Service Trade Training.
- Meet the criteria outlined in WMS OP 1103 para 6.2 & Figure 1.
- Possess a thorough understanding of UK Military Aircraft documentation procedures.
- Current and competent in the use of GOLDesp.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting salary of GBP38,454.00, increasing to GBP40,184.43 upon successful completion of the probationary period.
- Potential banding allowance of GBP1000 per annum for holding additional authorizations.
- Discretionary bonus based on team KPI achievements, up to GBP620 per annum.
- Generous holiday entitlement of 5 weeks (25 days) per year, increasing to 26 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays.
