As a Graduate English Teaching Assistant, you will support the progress of secondary school students in English. This may mean working closely with the highest performing students in order to assist them in achieving top grades and accessing higher education. You may be deployed to support students who are falling behind on their academic progress, sharing your subject expertise to assist students in understanding key concepts, and developing strategies to re-engage them in the classroom. You may be expected to provide support on a 1:1 or small group basis, and you will assist the classroom leader at all times with delivering lesson plans and managing behaviour.
