Here’s where you’ll make a difference:

Driving the embedding of data management into the Loans Platform to ensure we optimise data value and innovate safely.

Be the go-to person for all matters relating to data management, feeding into the overall Platform data strategy and ensuring that senior stakeholders’ views align to divisional data objectives.

Ensure that colleagues in the Platform understand their responsibilities with respect to the Data Policy and support them with the actions they need to take.

Work collaboratively with Technical Engineers, Product Owners and Solution Architects to understand the flows of data in the Platform and manage the efficient and effective production of high-quality analysis based on this research.

A champion for change, finding opportunities to enhance our existing data management capabilities or transform our current ways of working with data.

Responsible for appropriate oversight to certify that data management activity is effective and ensure that data risk is minimised so that data value outcomes can be achieved.

Take ownership for the assurance of high quality data in the Platform, oversee maintenance of data quality dashboards and ensure that any data quality issues identified are recorded in a timely manner, supporting Platform Lab teams with remediation solutions.

Identify data control gaps, raise appropriate risks to manage them. Set appropriate metrics to remediate control gaps, and establish control by design culture.

We're looking for someone who..

Is passionate about data: Naturally curious about how it is produced, consumed and managed across the organisation and used to deliver great business outcomes

Thinks creatively about the value of data and good data management principles: Can seamlessly integrate data management into BAU and unblock / support delivery challenges.

Has a curious mentality and a thirst for learning: Understands how the Loans Platform operates and ensures data becomes a key enabler of Platform delivery success.

Adapts well to change: Comfortable to flex approach in a rapidly evolving data landscape.

What would be helpful:

Data Management expertise : Vast experience and knowledge across various data management subject areas and tools (particularly Collibra, Ataccama and metadata management).

Data Risk awareness: A solid understanding of data risks, controls and the risk management framework. Ability to articulate the risks posed by lack of data management controls and methods to mitigate / remediate data risks through Platform collaboration.

Data Organisation awareness: Knowledge of technical, business and architecture data role types and responsibilities, in and outside of the Platform. The ability to engage and effectively collaborate with Platform and non-Platform Data Owners is critical to the success of this role and understanding how robust data foundations can support Platform and Business delivery.
