RequirementsKey Responsibilities:

1. Defect Management
• Develop and manage comprehensive defect management processes and workflows.
• Track and manage defects using JIRA, ensuring that all defects are documented, prioritized, and resolved in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with development, QA, and business teams to triage and resolve defects.
• Conduct defect review meetings to prioritize and assign defects to appropriate team members.
• Ensure defects are properly classified and documented with sufficient detail to reproduce and resolve.

2. Test Automation and Tools
• Utilize test automation tools such as Selenium, Postman, TestLink, SauceLabs, Quality Centre, and BrowserStack to support defect identification and validation.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to identify and validate defects.
• Integrate automated defect management processes into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Monitor and report on the results of automated tests.

3. Reporting and Metrics
• Generate and analyze defect management reports to track defect trends, status, and resolution rates.
• Provide regular updates and status reports to stakeholders on defect management activities.
• Identify and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness of defect management processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for critical defects and provide recommendations for process improvements.

4. Collaboration and Communication
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful defect management.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior testers and support staff on defect management best practices.

5. Continuous Improvement
• Continuously improve defect management processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of defect resolution.
• Stay current with emerging testing tools, technologies, and best practices.
• Conduct regular reviews and retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in defect management and quality assurance.
• ISTQB Foundation Certification.
• Proven experience with defect management tools such as JIRA.
• Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Postman, TestLink, SauceLabs, Quality Centre, and BrowserStack.
• Strong understanding of defect management processes and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
