The Role:
As the Community Support Worker - Peer Support, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the delivery of our peer support services, ensuring they meet the needs of our beneficiaries. Reporting to the Clinical and Beneficiary Services Manager, you will supervise and support a team of peer support workers, developing and implementing service delivery plans and monitoring their effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the delivery of peer support services, ensuring they meet the needs of Police Care UK's beneficiaries
- Supervise and support a team of peer support workers, including regular supervision sessions and performance reviews
- Develop and implement service delivery plans, ensuring adherence to best practices
- Oversee the delivery of induction training for Peer Support Volunteers
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of peer support programs, making improvements as needed
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance support and outcomes for beneficiaries
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on service delivery and outcomes
- Liaise with other professionals and agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care and support
- Manage a caseload of cases, providing direct support as needed
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures
- Promote the peer support service within the community and to potential service users
Who We're Looking For:
We are seeking a Community Support Worker - Peer Support who has:
- PSW Level 3 Accreditation and a completed Care Certificate
- Demonstrable experience within adult social care, with proven experience in a supervisory role
- Experience in developing and implementing service delivery plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- A compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach
- Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, and effective presentation skills
- Evidence of involvement in and understanding of Multidisciplinary Team working
