Your Role

The Operational Care Specialist Apprentice will be part of a team within the Operational Care Centre (OCC) responsible for coordinating transport activities by executing the necessary bookings with our partners and gateways, executing the requisite data entry associated with transport document generation, generating the required documentation, and liaising with our customer care specialists to ensure specific requirements are met (Transit Times, Carrier selection, Routings . Your Responsibilities

Our Apprenticeship is a 24 month programme, combining practicalon-the-job training with study towards the International Freight ForwardingLevel 3 apprenticeship. You will work within a successful team while learningeverything you need to know whilst supported by your peers, your managers, andthe apprenticeship team within Kuehne+Nagel.

Align with our Customer Care Teams to meet and exceed our customer’s requirements Manage and complete operational tasks, including issuing International Transport Documentation and arranging domestic collections and deliveries. Monitor operational performance. Service Exception Recovery – maintaining system reliability. Document management – control of documents within the department, creation storage, distribution Communicating with our internal Team, overseas offices, and suppliers

Your Skills and Experiences

The minimum entry requirementfor this apprenticeship is Five GCSEs at grades 3 – 9 / A*-D includingMaths & English) Our company values candidateswho are passionate about providing excellent customer service, have a strongwork ethic, and are able to communicate effectively with others. Good planningand organization skills is important and you will need the ability to multitaskand be a self-starter. Previous use of MicrosoftOutlook and Excel is beneficial. Please be aware that thisvacancy does not meet the minimum requirements for visa sponsorship and forapprenticeship funding, candidates must have been resident in the EEA for atleast the last 3 years. This position requires enhanced security clearancechecks and by applying for this role you are agreeing to participate in theemployment screening process. This process will include criminal recordchecking and identify validation. Anyappointment will be strictly condition upon and subject to the receipt ofsatisfactory results of these checks. This is an entry leveltraining position. If you are already qualified or experienced in this area ofwork, this is unlikely to be the position for you. Key Information:
Apprenticeship Contract:– Fixed term – 2 Years
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 7.5 hours per day (09:00-17:30hrs)
Place of work: fixed Will be expected onsite full time until performance expectations met & initial training completed.
