Job overview

The Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) is seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated Receptionist to complement our current reception and clerical team.

Our team is friendly, motivated and committed to providing a high quality, expert emergency service for the patients we treat. Not only is the efficient running of the reception and the clerical services integral to the patients journey, it is often the patients and relatives first point of contact in the department.

You will be able to follow instructions, work accurately and methodically, work as part of a team, but also able to use own initiative. You will be expected to adopt a flexible attitude to duties, which may, following discussion, be varied; this is subject to the needs of the UTC and in keeping with the general profile of the post. You must also be flexible both in availability and being able to offer cover for colleagues when they are absent from work due to annual leave or sickness etc.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to undertake a wide variety of general clerical and reception duties. They will be providing administrative support to the UTC department and answering the telephone and dealing with face to face enquiries.

Disclosure and Barring Checks (DBS)
