Job summary

South East Hampshire Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIP) is currently looking for an experienced practitioner who will be able to fulfil the Band 5 Developmental Post in the team.

Our Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service team work with people presenting with their first episode of psychosis from the age 14-65 years over a three year period. We cover the South East area of Hampshire which includes Havant and Waterlooville, Bordon and Petersfield and Fareham and Gosport.

The team work intensively with service users and their carers providing a range of interventions to address their mental health, physical health and social care needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for care co-ordination and management of service users under the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service and promote patient choice and effective outcomes. They will work with patients under the CPA process and offer interventions in line with the Early Intervention Psychosis Pathway.

We encourage and invest in individuals personal and professional development in areas that they are passionate about and help them to achieve their personal goals by ensuring all our staff have access to regular clinical supervision, and regular training opportunities to ensure continuing professional development.

Car driver and use of car within work hours is essential Weekend working is required on a rotational basis.

Main duties of the job

To provide psychiatric interventions to clients presenting with first episode psychosis and their families/carers within the East Hampshire area, and specifically to help ensure the provision of a comprehensive service to those made most vulnerable by virtue of mental ill health

The final combination of Southern Health and Solent Trusts is anticipated to occur in July 2024, when the new organisation will be formed.

Our new Trust will continue to cater to the unique needs of different communities, making healthcare across the county more accessible, as well as offering staff more opportunities for career development, training and partnership working.
