As a Pre-sales Manager (Data & AI) you will lead a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects focusing on complex Enterprise accounts, leading our UK&I expansion. Your experience partnering with sales organisations will help to close revenue with opportunities of +$1M ARR, whilst coaching new sales and pre-sales team members to work together. You will guide your team and be involved with opportunities to enhance your team's effectiveness. You must be an expert at communicating complex, business value-focused solutions; supporting complex sales cycles; and build relationships with key stakeholders in large corporations.

You will report to the Director, Field Engineering Manager

The impact you will have:

Manage hiring, onboarding, and building your Pre-Sales Solutions Architect team. Analyses team skills gaps and proactively makes plans to address them.Rapidly scale the designated team without sacrificing quality. Accountable for achieving the targets of the group.Build a collaborative culture within a rapid-growth team. To embody and promote Databricks' customer-obsessed, teamworkSupport increase in Consumption on investment of Solutions Architect involvement in sales cyclesPromote a solution and value-based selling field-engineering organisationDisplay an understanding of business needs and revenue potential for accounts in the assigned verticalBuild Databricks' brand in UK&I in partnership with the Marketing and Sales team

What we look for:

You will typically have experience in pre and/or post-sales in a relevant technical domain. Experience in pre-sales manager role in developing, managing and building a team of successful Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionalsExperience in complex strategic accounts generating +$1M ARRHave experience scaling and mentoring field and technical teamsExpertise in Big Data or AI/ML solutions, ideally familiar with real hands-on experience, building in production workloads.Knowledgeable in and passionate about data-driven decisions, AI, and Cloud software modelsGreat at instituting processes for technical field members to improve efficiencyMarket experience of the UK&I regionBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
