Sleep ins: £45 per night (min 10 per month)
Shift Pattern:  2 shifts on 4 shifts off with a sleep in on every shift
Earnings: £30,025 to £33,650

Hexagon Care Services have a 2 bedded SEMH children’s home in Mirfield, Kirklees. This home supports 2 young people aged 11-17, following a therapeutic model of care with support from an on-site Hexagon Psychologist. Our children's home is Ofsted rated Good in all areas

We are seeking to appoint a candidate with an interest in a therapeutic and holistic approach to working with children in care. Previous experience of working in any children’s home is advantageous but not essential as full training and induction is provided. You will need a full UK driving licence for this position to drive the work vehicle.

Please note if you’re new to this sector, these roles are caring 24/7 for children so evenings, weekends, public holidays are essential and shared amongst the staff team. The 2 shift on 4 shifts off basis is a rolling rota, and will mean you are away from home 48 hours at a time.

No two days will be the same supporting young people to achieve their very best. You will have a varied array of tasks whilst on shift; everything from cooking & cleaning, taking part in activities and games, taking Young People out to appointments/meetings/activities, or even sitting and watching TV with the Young People.

Criteria for the role:

Desirable: QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare/Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People’s Workforce (not essential, Hexagon will pay for the new level 4 Diploma if required) Essential:  Full UK driving licence
