Our advanced manufacturing site in Brackley, is one of our main processing facilities, processing up to 1.2 million birds per week. There are over 700 talented people employed at our Brackley site, helping us to deliver high quality products to our customers and making the business a trusted leader in fresh foods.

About the Role:

This is a predominately office-based role but there may be a requirement for you to go within the factory environment.

Working hours are  Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00

What will you be doing as a HR & Training Administrator at Avara?

As a  HR & Training Administrator  you’ll provide administrative support to the HR function, including training, to ensure the effective day to day running of the department. This role has to understand the Operational requirements and work in a varied environment that is fast paced. The position requires contact with Management and colleagues in all departments, at all levels, and across the Chicken Business Unit.


What will your key responsibilities as a HR & Training Administrator include?

Ensure that time and attendance records are accurate before being released to payroll Ensure that the HR systems are accurately maintained at all times, in a timely manner, for example absences, change to personal details, etc Support the processing of leavers Provide cover for the management of the weekly payroll system sign off by dealing with pay queries, staff sales and pay adjustments, ensuring that payroll is ready as required Support the administration and monitoring of absence, including collation of sick notes, return to work interviews, arranging absence reviews and monitoring long term sickness Control of general administration including efficient filing systems, including scanning and shredding documentation, answering the telephone, and ensuring that all electronic files are maintained to a high standard with all the appropriate documentation Raise Purchase Orders in a timely manner using the Oracle system Support with adhoc Reception duties such as answering calls from the main switchboard, sorting out the post and ensuring that the post is franked and ready for collection Support the training Coordinator in delivering internal and external training including administrative duties

What you’ll need to be successful:

HR or Training experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given Experience of working in a similar role Excellent communications skills, with ability to communicate at all levels and work effectively within a team Excellent attention to detail Effective organisation skills and time management – ability to multi-task Confident in usage of Microsoft Office Ability to work under pressure
