Job overview

An exciting position has become available within the children's services for Head of Service -CYP Children Targeted CAMHS and MHST, to work within the Integrated children's services in Barking & Dagenham on Secondment for 3 months.

Main duties of the job

You will be operationally responsible for a range of Services under your portfolio within Barking and Dagenham as well as providing directorate-wide leadership on specific issues.

You will lead on the Integrated Care agenda, drive service performance, transformational projects and initiatives within the directorate and also support with new service development and initiatives. You will therefore have well-honed performance management skills coupled with an understanding of clinical pathways, etc.

You will head up a range of service development initiatives directly as well as working with and through your teams, colleagues and peers to deliver directorate and system wide improvement. 

Your ability to engage and lead teams through change and act as an expert negotiator will be vital. You will deliver a selection of productivity schemes and will therefore have strong business management skills coupled with sound financial knowledge. You will focused on outcomes and motivated by your drive to deliver the highest quality care while ensuring the best possible patient experience.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

High Cost Area Supplement – London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata).
