The opportunity:


Mackenzie Jones is very excited to be working with Fix 8 Kombucha & Fibe Soda - two pioneering brands who are on a mission to deliver good gut-health to the world through the familiar and delicious vehicle of soft drinks.


Founded by Freya Twigden in 2018, their two brands have listings across Grocery, Out-Of-Home, Workplace and Hotels & Restaurants.


Fix8 in 2023 was the fastest growing brand in all carbonated soft drinks with +1200% growth. Market value for Kombucha is £25m, and forecasted to grow to £90m by 2028.


They have a range of 3 delicious, easy – drinking kombucha’s – packed with powerful probiotics which are scientifically proven to reach your gut alive. They currently sell Fix8 in Waitrose, Morrisons, Ocado, Planet Organic, Selfridges – and have a fast growing presence in the OOH market too with key foodservice listings ( DDV, Brakes + ).


Their sister brand, Fibe Prebiotic Soda, launched in 2023. Five combines ‘classic’ fizzy drink taste with prebiotic gut health benefits ( 5g per can of ‘Fibe’ ). Available in x3 flavours and currently in Tesco, Holland & Barrett, Leon, Selfridges and across the independent & OOH market.

The Role


Fibe and Fix8 are looking for an organised, enthusiastic and entrepreneurial National Account Manager to manage their grocery & high street accounts, working closely with the founder to optimise key listings and build relationships. As a start-up, everyone rolls up their sleeves and gets stuck in beyond their ‘title’


Reporting to Freya, their founder and Fayz, the managing director, they are looking for a colleague with c.4 years’ experience in FMCG sales and account management within the Food & Drink industry. Ideally having grocery/retail experience.


What will my accountabilities be?


New Business & Account Management


  • Scoping out and winning new retail business for high growth opportunities alongside Freya.
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with their key customers.
  • Building relationships with the buyer and internal networks within the retailers ( trading managers, supply chain, cat d’s )
  • Understand and pre-empt their needs
  • Increase distribution of products : SKU and distribution points
  • Attending industry events to further network with key customers to win new business
  • Developing and implementing sales plans and campaign propositions to achieve revenue targets with their largest customers : Morrisons, Ocado, Tesco, Waitrose, Leon, Holland & Barrett+
  • Negotiating pricing, terms and contracts with customers to create long-term mutual partnerships.
  • Forecasting and demand planning to ensure having optimised availability for their customers.
  • Analysing internal sales and volume metrics, market trends and consumer behaviours to turn into actionable insight.
  • Category Management : working though data, storyboarding , building the category proposition for new business and keeping close to what’s happening in the category
  • Weekly performance monitoring of sales in key accounts, generate plan to improve/support
  • Set up and attend customer sampling/activations



Who will I be working with?

A great candidate will have:


  • Some experience in an FMCG business – preferably soft drinks or grocery
  • A demonstrated history of supporting in growing the distribution of an FMCG product, preferably within impulse: snacking, confectionary, soft drinks etc.
  • Have operated across sales channels including grocery & high street
  • An interest in wellbeing, gut-health and soft drinks a big bonus
  • A desire to “roll your sleeves up” – as a small business, with a team of only four people, they are looking for a candidate who can take ownership and deliver as an individual
  • A curious, entrepreneurial mindset, willing to ask questions and scope out new opportunities as they arise.
  • A positive attitude – they are a small team, so building a great team rapport and positive working culture is important to them
  • The desire and ability to be an ambassador and advocate for the business – attending industry events, trade shows and always looking for opportunity
