Purpose of the role

As the Head of Lettings, your primary focus is on managing and coaching the Lettings Team to ensure they meet targets and deliver excellent customer service consistently. Reporting to the Lettings Director, you oversee the department's day-to-day operations, setting strategic direction, and fostering stakeholder relationships. Your responsibilities include ensuring the team achieves lets targets to grow the Managed Portfolio while minimising operational risks through training and auditing. Your leadership drives business growth, maximises rental yields, and upholds NPG's reputation for excellence in the market


Responsibilities


  • Provide strategic oversight for the lettings department, ensuring its performance and direction.
  • Lead the Lettings Manager and team, setting overall direction and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Manage performance and develop a team of agents, setting targets, ensuring exceptional service delivery and targets are being achieved for each branch.
  • Drive business growth and maximise rental yields through effective leadership and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the recruitment and onboarding process for new developments, overseeing listing, communication, and letting procedures.
  • Assist the Lettings Director in planning and implementing process improvements and changes.
  • Conduct audits to ensure all new landlords are onboarded correctly according to procedures.
  • Position NPG as a market leader in the lettings sector, driving revenue and maintaining our reputation for excellence.
  • Collaborate with the Lettings Director to align departmental goals with organisational objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market dynamics, recommending innovative solutions to enhance departmental performance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism.



Requirements


  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the property management or real estate industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field (desirable).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on driving business growth.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and market trends in the property management sector.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., RICS, ARLA) are a plus.
