About the Company:

My client is looking to hire a Head of Sales to join a dynamic and innovative manufacturing and distribution business. They are focused on delivering excellence in distribution and manufacturing within the Personal Care and Performance Chemicals market. They are seeking a strategic leader to drive their sales efforts and achieve ambitious growth objectives.


About the Role:

As the Head of Sales for UK Distribution and Manufacturing, you will oversee all sales activities, manage a high-performing team, and foster key customer relationships. You will be pivotal in executing sales strategies and driving business development to ensure targets are met and exceeded. This role will require regular external travel and also into the Head office near London Heathrow Airport.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Forecast annual sales by territory, projecting volumes and profits for existing and new products.
  • Analyse sales data to create actionable plans and identify growth opportunities.
  • Deliver insightful monthly performance reports to the Executive Management Team (EMT).
  • Cultivate strategic account management and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive customer success.
  • Spend significant time in the field to enhance customer relationships and drive sales initiatives.
  • Optimise working capital and improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordinate sales team activities to align with marketing strategies and maximize efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Proven success as a Head of Sales or in a similar senior role, with a track record of exceeding targets.
  • 7-10 years in customer-facing commercial roles, preferably in distribution.
  • BSc Degree level qualification in a related field such as Chemistry or other scientific fields.
  • Highly experienced in managing and developing a sales team.
  • Strong understanding of the Personal Care & Performance Chemicals market.
  • Solid experience in performance reporting and financial processes.
