About the role:
We have a great opportunity for a Graduate Project Engineer. As Graduate Project Engineer you will report into the Technical Project Manager being responsible for providing project engineering support to the Technical Projects group within TFE, PTFE and ETFE plants, in-line with business requirements to improve SHE and operational performance, reduce the operational cost base, improve product quality and assist with development of new products and processes.
Day-to-day duties will include:
- Manage budgets and lead small projects.
- Provide support for the planning and management of smaller projects from design through to plant handover, as directed by the Technical Project Manager, ensuring projects are on-time and in specification.
- Provide technical engineering/problem solving support for smaller scale technological improvements within the business to improve safety, health and environment, output, efficiency, product quality and consistency.
- Manage contractors involved in process improvement activities.
- Drive tasks through to completion.
- Support the Technical Project Manager and Head of Process Design and Projects, as required.
- Apply the highest level of SHE management in all activities and guide the team to ensure compliance.
Skills, experience, knowledge and qualifications required:
- Engineering Degree.
- Chemical/plastic manufacturing environment experience.
- Working towards the attainment of a professional ‘Project Management’ qualification.
- Understanding of PTFE, ETFE and TFE manufacturing process and operations.
- Understanding of UK SHE legislation.
- Understanding of ISO14001 and ISO9001.
- Project management.
- Working with third party suppliers.
