About the Role:

We are seeking a Graduate Process Engineer to provide project engineering support to the Technical Projects group within TFE, PTFE and ETFE plants.

The successful candidate will report into the Process Engineering Manager and will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical engineering/problem solving support for smaller scale technological improvements within the business to improve safety, health and environment, output, efficiency, product quality and consistency
  • Supporting the planning and management of smaller projects from design through to plant handover, as directed by the Process Engineering Manager, ensuring projects are on-time and in specification
  • Managing contractors involved in process improvement activities
  • Investigating, troubleshooting and debottlenecking plant operational problems
  • Supporting the Process Engineering Manager and Head of Process Design and Projects, as required
  • Applying the highest level of SHE management in all activities and guiding the team to ensure compliance

Requirements:

  • Chemical Engineering degree
  • Understanding of PTFE, ETFE and TFE manufacturing process and operations UK SHE legislation
  • ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
  • Working towards the attainment of Chartership
  • Hazard and operability study methodology Problem solving skills
  • Communication – able to work at all levels
  • Team worker– also able to work independently and own initiative Concern for detail and standards
  • Project management Process Engineering
  • Excellent IT skills, able to analyse and manipulate data and write reports Able to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Chemical/plastic manufacturing environment preferred Plant optimisation/Process Improvement
  • Project management
  • Working with third party suppliers
