About the Role

This position is responsible for the management of Capital projects in the business portfolio, supporting strategic growth areas and core chemical manufacturing sites. The role will involve managing projects across various locations, including Teesside, Rotherham, Leeds, and Stonehouse, as well as manufacturing facilities at the company's headquarters in Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages the capital programme, involving multi-million-pound investments in new assets, production plants, and facilities in the UK and overseas.
  • Delivers project management expertise at a professional level to ensure successful project delivery in terms of time, cost, and quality.
  • Provides support to manufacturing value streams to deliver their project portfolio in line with the capital project process.
  • Coordinates and progresses the programme of investments, including acceleration, deceleration, redefining, terminating, and initiating projects.
  • Manages interdependencies between projects, resources available, and resource conflicts.

Requirements

  • Excellent competence in engineering and/or project management with the ability to lead others.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering multi-million-pound projects in a chemical processing/manufacturing or building services environment.
  • Proven experience of leading and delivering significant multi-discipline engineering projects and solutions.
  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience with professional membership of an Engineering Institution.
  • Experience of working on COMAH regulated industrial plants or a similar regulated manufacturing industry.
