Capital Projects Manager Role

This is a key position within Victrex, focusing on the management of capital projects in our business portfolio. The successful candidate will support our strategic growth areas and core chemical manufacturing sites, working closely with teams across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage capital projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Coordinate and progress programmes of investments, including acceleration, deceleration, redefinition, termination, and initiation of projects.
  • Develop and deliver front-end design, plans, and cost estimations to sanction quality estimate standards.
  • Manage risks, issues, and changes at a project level, using appropriate mechanisms, tools, and techniques.
  • Lead and manage contracting teams of professional engineers, designers, buyers, and construction supervisors.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced professional with excellent competence in engineering and/or project management, who can lead others and apply their competence. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of delivering multi-million-pound projects in a chemical processing or manufacturing environment. They should also have a relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience, with professional membership of an Engineering Institution. Experience of working on COMAH regulated industrial plants or a similar regulated manufacturing industry is also required.
