The Trade Compliance Legal Counsel plays a crucial role as a partner to the global business and legal teams, ensuring the upholding of the highest ethical standards while fostering innovation and success throughout the company. This individual offers legal guidance on Trade Compliance matters, particularly in the areas of global Sanctions and Export Controls.

  • Oversee and resolve Trade Compliance issues related to global sanctions, export controls, customs, import regulations, and anti-boycott policies.
  • Collaborate with global business units on due diligence for new tenders and contracts, ensuring compliance with EU, UK, Norway, and other international requirements.
  • Conduct due diligence on business partners, including Restricted Party Screenings and reviews of corporate structures to avoid targeted sanctions.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel for global trade law compliance.
  • Train Business Development and Project teams on due diligence, sanctions, and export controls.
  • Coordinate export control reviews and licensing for international projects.
  • Update and implement Trade Compliance policies and processes globally.

Applicants should possess a Law degree from Europe, UK, Norway, or equivalent. Proven legal experience in global trade compliance, especially sanctions and export controls. Knowledge of global sanctions, including EU, US, and targeted entities and have familiarity with "dual use" export controls and export licensing.
